Syncronize My Contacts From A Nokia To A Samsung Phone

Quickly transfer contacts between phones using a SIM card.

When changing cell phones, one of the things you need to do is transfer the contacts from your old cell phone to your new one. While you can manually add contacts one by one, this is a time-consuming and laborious process. One of the quickest and most effective ways to synchronize your contacts to a new cell phone is to take advantage of the built-in memory on your SIM card. This can be achieved following simple steps.

Instructions

1. Insert your SIM card into your Nokia cell phone, and turn the device on.

2. Navigate to "Contacts" via the main menu.

3. Click the "Options" button, and choose "Mark All" from the list to select all of your contacts.

4. Click the "Options" button again, and press "Copy to SIM direct." This process may take several minutes to complete, depending on how many contacts you have.

5. Turn off your Nokia cell phone after the process has finished, and remove the SIM card.

6. Insert the SIM card into your Samsung cell phone, and turn on.

7. Navigate to "Address Book" via the main menu.

8. Scroll to the bottom of the list, and select "SIM Management."

9. Click "Copy Contacts to SIM." Either use the list to manually select the contacts you want to transfer, or simply check "All."

10. Click "Copy" to begin the process. Once complete, you can delete the contacts from your SIM card by pressing "Delete Contacts from SIM" in the "SIM Management" menu.
