Extract Cell Data To A Microsd Card

Despite having the capacity to play movies and music, take pictures and record video, many cell phones have far less than 1GB of internal memory. Fortunately, most phones also have a built-in micro Secure Digital (microSD) card slot which greatly expands the storage capacity. Certain files on your phone (such as factory installed ringers and wallpapers) might be write-protected and can't be moved or deleted, but most other data is extractable.

Instructions

1. Place your microSD card into the open slot on your cell phone.

2. Enter the menu on your phone and find the "Memory" option. If you don't see the option from the main menu, check under "Settings" or "Settings and Tools."

3. Select "Phone Memory" or "Internal Memory" and select the file that you want to extract. Click "Options" and select "Move." Depending on your phone, you may now have the option to select multiple files or you may have to move them one at a time. Click "Done" or "Move" when finished and select your microSD card if prompted. The data is now extracted to your microSD card.
