Clear Data On A Palm Z22

If your Palm Z22 PDA isn't working correctly and a soft reset doesn't fix the problems, you can perform a hard reset to clear all the data on the device and start from scratch. Doing a hard reset completely zaps the device's memory so that it appears to never have been used. After the hard reset, you'll have to set up the device, just as you did the first time you turned it on, and everything that was on it will be gone forever.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the power button and then use your stylus to press and release the reset button inside the recessed hole on the back of the Z22.

2. Release the power button when the "Palm Powered" logo appears on-screen.

A warning message about erasing all the information on the device will appear on-screen afterward.

3. Press up on the 5-way navigational button to complete the reset procedure.

Once the reset is complete, you will be prompted to calibrate the screen.

4. Use the stylus to touch the targets that appear on-screen until the calibration is complete.

5. Select the language you want displayed on the device.

Once you've done this, the phone will load the setup wizard.

6. Follow the instructions provided by the setup wizard to prepare your device for use.
