Maps 3.0 eliminates the need for actual maps.
Most Nokia phones come with a built-in GPS navigator. This allows you to find your way around a town or city, or to travel across the country. You can also unlock Maps 3.0 for your Nokia phone. Some websites claim to have a license or code for unlimited navigation to the maps. Unfortunately, they come with questionable material, viruses and unnecessary fees. Instead, the Nokia website allows you unlimited navigation to the maps for free. The new name for Maps 3.0 is Nokia Ovi Maps.
Instructions
1. Navigate to Nokia Ovi Maps website. Click the "Download" link.
2. Select your Nokia phone from the list. Read the system requirements for the software to ensure that your computer is compatible. Click "Download" when satisfied.
3. Doubleclick the file on your desktop. Follow the setup wizard instructions for proper installation. Save the software to a created Nokia file, or to a preexisting file on your desktop.
4. Restart your computer. This allows your computer to recognize the newly installed software.
5. Attach one end of the data cable to your Nokia phone. Insert the other end to your desktop computer or laptop's USB port. This should launch your Nokia sync software.
6. Hold and drag the Ovi Maps file to your Nokia sync software. The software will add the file to your Nokia phone. You can access it once you turn on your phone.
