Install Skype On The Android

Skype is a computer application that allows you to make VOIP (voice over IP) Internet calls for free via a computer. Additionally, you can make video calls and use it as an Instant Messenger client. Subscriptions are also available to call mobile phones and land lines. Mobile phones such as the Android have a Skype app that allows you to switch to Wi-Fi mode and make calls, as opposed to using cell phone minutes. Downloading the Skype app is easy and is available in the Android Market app.


Instructions


1. Power on your Android phone.


2. Slide your finger down to unlock the screen.


3. Tap the up arrow with a a circle around it on the lower-right corner to display your apps.


4. Tap the "Market" app.


5. Tap the magnifying glass on the top-right corner of the screen.


6. Type "skype" in the search bar. "Skype" appears in the list.


7. Tap "Skype."


8. Tap "Install." Your app begins downloading and once it completes, it is installed.


9. Tap the home (picture of a house) icon on your phone located in the lower-left corner of the phone.


10. Tap the up arrow with a a circle around it on the lower-right corner to display your apps.


11. Tap the "Skype" app.
