Pair A Verizon Bluetooth

A Bluetooth headset is handy while driving.

Many of the phones offered by Verizon Wireless are Bluetooth-capable. The phones can be paired with a Bluetooth headset for hands-free communication over a secure connection. Although a headset is not necessary for hands-free communication, many people prefer the convenience of using the headset over the phone's speakerphone. After pairing, or programming, your headset to work with your Verizon phone, you can use it anytime. Depending on the model of your Verizon phone, the steps may vary slightly.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" key on your Verizon phone's home screen.

2. Select "Tools" and highlight "Bluetooth." Press the "Menu/OK" key on the phone.

3. Select "Add New" or "Add New Device." Click "Yes" or "OK" to indicate you do want to turn on your phone's Bluetooth and make it discoverable by other devices.

4. Wait for the phone to search and find the Bluetooth headset. Select the headset from the list of found devices.

5. Enter the passkey for the Bluetooth on the Verizon phone's keypad. By default, the passkey for most headsets is "0000" or "1234."

6. Wait for confirmation that the headset was successfully added.
