Extract A Dvd Audio Track Using Nero Recode

Nero Recode allows users to rip selected content from a DVD, and even to isolate only the audio track.

Nero Recode is a tool designed to copy DVDs using a process called ripping. In addition to its ripping capabilities, Nero Recode also includes many other Nero software utilities, such as Nero Burning ROM, Nero WaveEditor and Nero Vision. These other utilities can all be launched using Nero StartSmart, the software's basic startup screen.

Instructions

1. Insert the DVD you want to take the audio track from into the computer's DVD-ROM drive. Launch Nero Recode and select "Recode DVDs and Videos to Nero Digital" from the main menu.

2. Click the "Import DVD" button and select the DVD-ROM drive containing the DVD. Click to select the "VIDEO_TS" folder contained on the DVD-ROM disc.

3. Click the DVD's various titles from the "Content" window. Click the "Audio" tab and put a checkmark next to an audio file to have it included in the DVD ripping process.

4. Click the "Next" button and select "Hard Disk Folder" from the dropdown menu box at the top of the "Burn Options" window. Click the "Browse" button to select a particular destination for the ripped files.

5. Click the "Burn" button to begin ripping the DVD to the hard drive. Wait for the process to complete.

6. Run the Nero Vision program included with the Nero Recode software package. Select "Make Movie" and then insert the ripped Nero Digital file into the Nero Vision video track.

7. Click "Export" and then select "Export Audio File" from the "Content" menu to export the audio as a WAV file.
