Find Nokia N95 Drivers

The Nokia N95 connects to PCs via USB port.

Nokia's N95 smartphone is a miniature personal computer, almost eliminating the need for a desktop or laptop PC. But for some functions, you may need to connect the N95 to another computer, and for that you need drivers. A device driver is a piece of software that helps the operating system recognize internal and external hardware devices connected to the PC. Without the appropriate N95 drivers, you could have difficulty completing tasks such as synchronizing contacts or transferring MP3s. If you are in need of N95 drivers, you can find them on your computer, the Web or a CD that came with the phone.

Instructions

1. Click "Start," "Internet Explorer." Navigate to the Nokia N95 Support website to download the drivers (see Resources). Click "Software." Download and install the driver software according to the instructions on the Web page.

2. Plug one end of the N95 connectivity cable into the smartphone and the other to a PC. Windows 7 is compatible with the N95 and contains the default drivers in the operating system. The driver software automatically mounts and the computer recognizes the device. Windows Vista is also compatible with the N95, but you may need to visit Nokia's support website to download the drivers.

3. Insert the original software installation CD that was included in the N95's packaging. Follow the instructions that appear on the computer screen to complete the installation of the drivers and software.
