The Droid can connect to a variety of Bluetooth headsets.
Linking your Droid by Motorola with a Bluetooth headset gives you the convenience of wireless, hands-free calling. The Droid is compatible with most Bluetooth headsets, and connecting your devices is a relatively simple process. You'll want to charge your headset fully before you begin, and your devices will need to be within the right range of each other in order to communicate. Bluetooth devices can connect over a maximum distance of about 33 feet.
Instructions
1. Place your Bluetooth headset in pairing mode. This process will vary depending on your headset's make and model. For many devices, you get pairing mode by pressing and holding the "Power" or "Call" button for approximately five to ten seconds. See your user guide for specific instructions.
2. Touch the "Menu" icon to open the Droid's main menu.
3. Touch "Settings," then touch "Wireless and Networks." Touch "Bluetooth Settings." Touch "Bluetooth" to power on Bluetooth.
4. Touch "Scan for Devices." The Droid will locate any in range Bluetooth devices and display them on the screen.
5. Touch the name of the headset you wish to connect with. Enter the headset's pairing passkey if prompted. (This is set by the headset manufacturer -- many use "0000" or "1234." See your user guide for details.)
6. Touch "OK" to complete pairing. Your Droid and headset will connect and are ready for use.
