Remove A Sim Card On An Sphm240 Phone

The Samsung M240 is a small, silver flip phone.

The Samsung SPH-M240 (commonly called the M240) is a simple flip phone released in 2008. The SIM card, like in many phones, holds data from the cell phone provider so the phone can send and receive calls. It also holds phone numbers and can hold data such as text and pictures. There are several reasons to remove the SIM, including putting in a new one, switching the SIM to a new phone or temporarily using the SIM to get data from another device.

Instructions

1. Hold the phone in one hand, front side toward your palm, and grip it firmly.

2. Slide down the back cover with your other hand. It will slide down until it snaps away from the phone, then you can lift it up. Set it aside while you retrieve the SIM.

3. Pull out the phone battery. You won't be able to reach the SIM while the battery is in.

4. Locate the SIM, a small rectangle in a silver slot. Cover the exposed tip with your finger and slide it gently out. While the SIM is removed, be careful not to get it wet or dirty.
