Nokia 5200 Information

The Nokia 5200cell phone drew mixed reviews.

The Nokia 5200 cell phone was a cell phone that closely resembled the Nokia 6111 and the Nokia 5300 XPressMusic models. Nolkia targeted the phone at the more budget-conscious consumer. Released in 2006, the Nokia 5200 is a discontinued model in 2010.

Specifications

The Nokia 5200 was a slider cell phone that weighed 3.67 ounces, measured 3.6 inches tall, 1.9 inches wide and 0.8 inches deep. The phone came with five megabytes of memory and a 1.8 megapixel (maximum) camera. Reviewers such as mobile-phones-uk.org cited sub-par camera quality with the Nokia 5200.

The 5200 also played MP3 and WMA music files. Nokia did not supply a memory card in the sales package but did enable the memory to be expanded to 2 G-bytes (enough to store 1,500 songs) with a MicroSD memory card.

Performance

Capable of holding 700 milliamp hours (mAh) of power, the Nokia 5200, when fully charged, provided 3.2 hours of talk time and had a maximum standby of 264 hours. The 5200 contained a Symbian operating system and a microSD expansion slot.

Connections

Equipped with a Triband frequency band, Nokia's 5200 phone was capable of Bluetooth, USB and infrared connectivity to exterior devices. The phone also came with instant messaging and visual radio capabilities.
