Synchronize The Contacts For A Blackberry

Synchronize the Contacts for a Blackberry

Research in Motion not only manufacturers the BlackBerry, it also distributes the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, a free desktop program that helps users synchronize their BlackBerrys. A regularly synchronized BlackBerry will keep your contacts between your desktop organization programs, such as Microsoft Outlook and Thunderbird, up to date. Also, in case of emergency, you have a backup copy of your BlackBerry device address book.

Instructions

1. Connect your Blackberry device to your computer through the USB port. Go to Start>All Programs>BlackBerry>Desktop Manager.

2. Click "Synchronize" on the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Click "Synchronize Configuration." Place a check mark next to "Address Book." Choose which address book application you want your BlackBerry device to synchronize with. Click "Next." Select the synchronization direction on the next page. Click "Next." Click "Finish" and then click "Ok."

3. Place a check mark next to "Synchronize Organizer Data." Click "Synchronize." Disconnect your BlackBerry device when you receive the successful completion message.
