Unlock A N73 Phone

Unlock your N73 phone lets you use a different carrier.


A locked phone means it can only accept SIM cards from the network it was purchased from. Unlocking a phone lets you use it with the network of your choice. Unlocking a Nokia N73 requires obtaining an unlock code. Such codes are available from a number of paid and free online sources.


Instructions


1. Find your N73's IMEI number. Dial "*#06#" and the IMEI number will be displayed on the screen. Copy this number down.


2. Visit an online unlock code provider (see "Resources").


3. Click the "obtain unlock code option" on the website you selected. Select "Nokia" as the manufacturer and "N73" as the phone model.


4. Confirm the phone details by entering the country and network provider that the N73 is locked to. Type in the IMEI details. Select the "unlock codes "option and follow the procedure specified by the unlock provider to obtain the unlock code.


5. Remove the old network SIM from the N73 and replace it with a SIM from a different provider. Turn on the phone. When prompted, enter the unlock code to unlock the phone.
