Delete old mailboxes to free space on your business phone system.
If you use a Norstar Meridian Telecom phone system at your business, you may have more mailboxes than you need if employees have left the company without deleting their mailboxes. Luckily you can log in to the system administrator account and delete any mailboxes you need to get rid of simply, freeing space on your system. Administrator programming should be done from M7310, T7316, or M7324 model phone sets.
Instructions
1. Enter Feature 983 to enter administrative programming options. When the display flashes LOG, enter your password. If your company's extensions are two digits, input 120000. If they're three-digits, put in 1020000. If they're four digits, enter 10020000. Your extensions are the numbers that you have to dial to reach each person on the system.
2. Touch the soft key under the "Okay" to proceed.
3. Press the soft key under the "MBOX" option and then press the key under "DEL."
4. Enter the mailbox number that you want to delete. This will be the same number as the employee extension.
5. Press the soft key under "Delete" to confirm the deletion. All saved messages and recordings will be lost.
