Sign An Application Online

Sign an Application Online

In many instances, signing an application online is as simple as typing your name and checking a box that verifies you are the person signing the application. While this system works for most organizations, others prefer a more realistic version of your signature. In this case, there are options you can use to sign or verify an application online using your actual signature.

Instructions

1. Print the online application and sign it by hand. This is the easiest and fastest way to accurately sign an application with your real signature. This is ideal for legal documents requiring hand signatures.

2. Scan your signed application back into the computer and save the document. Return to the website that you signed the application for and locate contact information. Send your signed copy by email. The scanned document will be turned into an image, complete with your signature, and will not be able to be edited by anyone.

3. Locate a signature verification service (see Resources) if you don't have a scanner. Sign your application using this service. The service is used as verification of your identity based on information you provide during the sign up process. This is a viable option for a company that requires verification, especially if the document being signed is legal. This also works the other way. If you're the person who needs someone to sign an online application, you can send the application using a signature verification service.
