Use GPRS to send small and large packets of data over 3G and other wireless networks.
GPRS, also known as General Packet Radio Service, is a wireless communication standard. GPRS Smart supports a wide range of bandwidth and high data transfer rates. You can send as well as receive small and large packets of data using GPRS Smart. It is ideal to use GPRS for emails and media messaging through mobile devices. Almost all wireless carriers provide GPRS Smart or 3G facility. However, you need a GPRS or 3G mobile phone in order to use Smart GPRS or 3G service.
Instructions
1. Turn on your 3G or GPRS enabled mobile phone.
2. Select "Tools" from your cell phone screen and then select "Settings" from the Tools menu.
3. Set your Network mode to "Dual Mode."
4. Go to your cell phone's Messaging screen and select "Write new text message."
5. Type in "Set 3G" and send it to 211. For GPRS, type "SET GPRS" and send to 211.
6. Save the settings that you receive as a message. Now you are ready to use GPRS or 3G.
