The N95 is a smart phone, manufactured by Nokia. The device runs on the Symbian mobile operating system and includes multimedia playback in addition to standard phone features. If you have a video file in the WMV (Windows Media) format, you will need to convert the file to the N95-compatible MP4 format. The conversion and transfer process can be completed with Nokia's management software, Nokia PC Suite.
Instructions
1. Download the Nokia PC Suite (see Resources) and install the application.
2. Open the application. Click "View Multimedia."
3. Select "File," then "Open." Navigate to the WMV file and click "Open."
4. Select "File," then "Save As..." Set a destination to save the converted video file. Select "MP4" as the file type. Click "Save" to begin converting the video.
5. Right-click the converted MP4 video file and select "Copy."
6. Connect the N95 to your computer via USB cable. Select "File Manager from Nokia PC Suite
7. Locate the N95, browse to the media/videos folder. Select "Edit," then "Paste" to copy the movie to the device.
