Unlock your Nokia 6301 to use with any SIM card service provider.
The Nokia 6301 is a versatile brick-style device that has a built-in MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity and a 2-megapixel camera with full screen viewfinder. If the 6301 is the phone of your choice, but you do not have T-mobile, you can unlock your phone and use your own network and SIM card. Follow a few steps to remove the network lock on your Nokia 6301.
Instructions
1. Press *#06# and push the "Call" or "Send" button. A 15- to 17-digit number should appear in the message box. You must provide this number to obtain your unlock code. Each IMEI is unique to a cell phone, regardless of the service provider.
2. Obtain an unlock code by calling your cell phone service provider or purchasing one from a third-party source.
3. Take out your old SIM card and do the following:
Press the # button.
Press * three times.
Press * four times.
Press * twice.
4. Enter the 15-digit unlock code and complete the following:
Press * two times.
Press 1.
Press #.
5. The message should show "SIM Restriction Off." Insert your new SIM card. If no messages appear and your phone is not bricked (see Tips), your device is now unlocked.
