Remove the SIM Card From the Motorola RAZR
Many cellular phones, including the Motorola RAZR, rely on a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to provide full personalized functionality. The SIM card stores information such as your phone number, service details, and phonebook/message memory. Because they follow a standard protocol, SIM cards are generally interchangeable between phones. If you have acquired a compatible new phone, you may be able to transfer your saved information by simply changing the SIM card.
Instructions
1. Turn off your cellular phone by pressing and holding the power key for two seconds.
2. Remove the battery on the back of the phone by sliding it back and lifting gently.
3. Identify the SIM card, which is under the battery area. A retention strap holds it in place. Don't stretch the retention strap. Slide the SIM card slowly back, up and out of the slot.
4. You may now use the SIM card in another phone, or insert a new SIM card into the Motorola RAZR.
