Synchronize Blackberry Contacts With Outlook

You can sync contacts on a phone to Microsoft Outlook on a computer to keep contact information up to date in both locations. You can add contacts directly from email on either device, and the other will automatically update each time the phone is synced. To help manage this task, BlackBerry includes software with the phone called Desktop Manager. After you set up preferences, the sync will repeat each time the phone is connected with Desktop Manager.

Instructions

1. Open Desktop Manager. Connect the BlackBerry to the computer using the USB cable that came with it. Click "Synchronize." Click "Synchronization" under the "Configure" menu located on the left hand side of the screen. Click the "Synchronization" button on the right hand side of the screen.

2. Click the check box next to "Address Book." Click the "Setup" button located near the bottom of the screen.

3. Click on "Microsoft Outlook" and then click the "Next" button at the bottom of the screen. Choose the sync option desired and click "Next" at the bottom of the screen. Then click "Next" again.

4. Click "Finish" located at the bottom of the screen. Click "OK" at the bottom of the screen once all options have been set.

5. Click the "Synchronize" button located near the center of the screen.
