Many personal data assistant ("PDA") devices have the ability to send and receive email using a wireless Internet connection. The email messages that you receive on your PDA are put into a folder called your "inbox." Once you read these messages you can delete the unwanted previously viewed data from the inbox on your PDA to save a lot of space.
Instructions
1. Turn on your PDA (if it is not presently powered on).
2. Enter the "Messaging" section of your PDA. If you want to clear your email inbox, for example, you would click on the icon that launches your email application. If you wanted to clear the inbox for your text based messages, you would choose either "IM" or "SMS Messages," depending on your preference.
3. Click on "Inbox" to view all of the current messages you have recently received.
4. Look around for a "Clear All" option. Some PDA's have an "Options" button that you can press on your inbox screen to pull up this command. Then, by selecting "Clear Inbox" you can delete all of the messages in your inbox. If you do not have one of these types of PDAs, continue to Step 5.
5. Select the first message in your inbox. Then, select "Erase Message" to delete it from your inbox. Repeat these steps until all of the messages have been deleted from your inbox, at which point it will be clear.
