Reinstall Directx 7 0

DirectX is a programming interface for the Windows operating system, created by Microsoft to simplify the process of developing games by giving programmers easier access to the video and audio hardware in the computer. DirectX 7 is a version of this programming interface from the Windows 98 era, and you may have it installed on a Windows 98 computer that you use for older games. If you experience a problem with a 3-D game in Windows 98, reinstalling DirectX 7 is one troubleshooting step that might resolve the issue.

Instructions

1. Download a new copy of DirectX 7 from the Internet (see the Resources section for three download links).

2. Double-click the DirectX installation file---either "dx70eng.exe" or "directx7.exe" depending on the download source.

3. Click "Yes" when asked to confirm that you want to reinstall DirectX 7.

4. Examine the terms outlined in the end user license agreement for DirectX 7. Click "Yes" to agree and continue with the installation. A progress bar appears. When the bar is full, the installation utility is finished reinstalling DirectX 7.

5. Click "OK" to restart the computer when DirectX 7 is finished being reinstalled.
