The original Jawbone was the start of a long line of sleek and stylish Bluetooth headsets from the Aliph company. Jawbones are small, come in many colors and you can barely tell there are any buttons on them, which may add to their appeal among consumers. Even though the original Jawbone is the oldest, it is still a head-turner.
Instructions
1. Set your cell phone to discovery mode. This allows the phone to detect in-range Bluetooth devices. Typically, the Bluetooth options can be found in the "Connections" or "Settings" of your phone menu. Set the Bluetooth to "On" or "Enable," and then select "Search" or "Add" a new device.
2. Set the Jawbone to pairing mode. Keep the headset off initially. Press and hold the "Noise Shield" button on the back end of the headset for three seconds. When the headset's LED begins to flash white and red, that indicates that it is in pairing mode.
3. Check the cell phone. The Jawbone should appear on the list of in-range devices a few moments after setting it to pairing mode.
4. Choose the Jawbone and enter the passkey, "0000," when prompted.
5. Press "OK" or "Yes" on the phone to complete the pairing process.
