Nokia 5310 applications enable users to hide personal videos and prevent unauthorized access. You can use any third-party application that lets you hide files and folders on the phone. Some of these tools include "FileHide," "The Messiah" and "Touch Hider." These are password-protected programs that you can use for hiding information.
Instructions
1. Download and install FileHide on your Nokia 5310 (see "Resources"). When you go to the website, click the "Download" button, and select "Nokia" and "5310" as the phone make/mode. When it downloads to the computer, connect the phone to the computer, and launch "Nokia PC Suite." Double-click the FileHide installer, and follow the onscreen instructions to install the application via Nokia PC Suite. When you run it for the first time on your cell phone, it will ask you to specify a password. Click "Go" and then click "Show/Hide." Go through the list of files and folders of your phone and check the boxes next to each video that you want to hide.
Whenever you want to access those videos, open the FileHide application on the phone, enter the password and remove the check from the videos.
2. Use The Messiah application (see "Resources"). This application is used for hiding videos in all formats. Install the program on your Nokia 5310 using Nokia PC Suite, run it on the phone and specify all the videos from the list opened by the application, which are to be hidden. The program will ask you to change the name of each file that you want to hide. The only way to get your videos back will be to connect the phone to the computer, and rename those videos to their original names.
3. Use the application Touch Hider (see "Resources"). After you install it on the phone using Nokia PC Suite, the phone will ask you whether you want to start the application. Press "Yes," and select "Start" on the Touch Hider screen when it opens, and specify a password of your choice for first time application usage. Then, go through the list of all available information on your phone and check the boxes next to each video you want to hide. When you close the application, the specified videos will be hidden from everybody. To access them again, open the application, enter the password and remove the checkbox.
