Unlock The Motorola W370

The Motorola W370 is a flip-top phone sold through the Tracfone mobile service provider. If you purchased this phone, chances are that it is locked to this network. This means that you will not be able to use the phone while traveling abroad without paying roaming charges. Purchase some special unlock codes to unlock the phone.

Instructions

1. Select a method to unlock your phone. You can send it to your original service provider, send your physical phone to an unlocking service center or get an unlock code through an online phone unlock service provider.

2. Visit Tracfone.com and call them and ask them for the unlock code. For a fee of about $25 (as of 2010), purchase the unlock codes to your Motorola W370.

3. Send your phone to an unlocking service center (see Resources for links to some options). This service requires that your phone be shipped to them; they will complete the unlock process for you. Regular unlocking service (with a 24-hour turnaround), as of 2010, costs around $25 to $30.

4. Get a Motorola unlock code online (see Resources for links). This process requires you to have your phone's IMEI number. On your phone, key in "*#06#"; a 15-digit number will appear. This is your IMEI number; copy this number down and visit the website that sells unlock codes. Their software, with the IMEI code you provided, will calculate the unlock code specific for your phone. The costs ranges from $5 to $25.
