VOIP is possible with Nokia N95.
Nokia's N95 mobile telephone is a smartphone. With an N95, it is possible to make telephone calls over the Internet using the Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) standard. Using either a Wi-Fi or 3G data connection, you can save money by using the Internet to connect your call, instead of using valuable phone minutes. You will need a VOIP application client and account service. Software from Nokia enables on-device VOIP configuration, and a few steps will have you saving money and making calls over the Internet.
Instructions
1. Download and install VOIP software for your Nokia phone. Nokia's list of supported applications includes: Truphone, Fring, Hellosoft, Sipquest, Gizmo and Flashphone.
2. Download and install from Nokia the "SIP VOIP Settings" application on your N95.
3. Activate the VOIP service on your Nokia N95. To do this, navigate to "Menu" then "Contacts" and scroll right to "VOIP services." Select "Options" and then "Log in."
4. Configure your N95 to route VOIP calls. Navigate to "Menu," then "Settings," and "Connectivity," and finally to the "Destinations" menu. Add an access point for VOIP calls.
