Get a Voicemail Code
When you first purchase a cell phone, the phone comes with a specific voice mail code set as its default. Typically, this code is some combination of your phone number (like the last four digits).
Determining this voice mail code is simple if you forget it, and customizing the code to a new sequence is also a quick, simple process. No matter the phone provider or model, finding out your current code involves contacting the provider either by phone or online, and answering a few questions to verify your identity.
Instructions
1. Contact your service provider by phone or online to inquire about your voice mail code combination.
2. Fill out or answer the necessary questions to verify your identity. The provider will tell you your code.
3. Log on to your online account on your provider's website if you wish to change your voice mail password. (Try this if you have skipped steps 1-2.)
4. Choose the "Reset Password" function, and follow the prompts to reset it.
5. Enter the new code you want to program. You may be required to enter it more than once for verification, then submit the code. Your provider will send you a text with your new code.
