Unlock a memory card for a Nokia 6280.
The Nokia 6280 is a multimedia phone with a 2-megapixel camera, an FM radio and a media player for listening to MP3s and watching videos. A miniSD memory card comes preinstalled in the Nokia 6280 with preloaded ringtones, themes and graphics. The supplied memory card can also be used to store pictures and videos taken using the phone's camera. If picture or video files cannot be written to it, the miniSD card may be locked. The memory card must be unlocked before storing additional files.
Instructions
1. Open the memory card holder door located on the side of the phone.
2. Remove the miniSD card by pressing the memory card until a click is heard. This click indicates the card is unseated from the phone and the card will automatically be ejected. Remove the card from the phone once it is ejected.
3. Insert the miniSD card into a compatible card adapter. The adapter should be supplied with the phone and memory card. If it was not provided, purchase one from the Nokia online store.
4. Slide the lock switch located on the side of the memory card adapter away from the "Lock" position. This unlocks the miniSD card and allows files to be written to the card.
5. Remove the miniSD card from the card adapter and reinsert the card into the memory card slot of the phone. Press the card until a click is heard indicating the card is seated in the phone. Close the card holder door after the card is seated.
