Unlock An Ngage Demo Phone

Nokia created the N-Gage Demo phone in 2003. It includes a Symbian operating system (OS), Bluetooth connectivity, WAP browser and Java games. To use your phone with another network, you will need to obtain an unlock code from your mobile carrier. To do so, you must provide your phone's International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI) number. This number helps your carrier find the appropriate code for you phone. With an unlocked code, you can switch networks seamlessly with just a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card.

Instructions

1. Enter *#06# in your phone's keypad. Write down the 15- to 17-digit IMEI number that appears on the screen.

2. Contact your mobile carrier. Request an unlock code. Provide your phone's IMEI number and mobile phone number.

3. Turn off your N-Gage phone. Remove the protective cover and battery. Remove the SIM card, located underneath the battery. Lift it up with your fingernail to remove it.

4. Replace the battery and protective cover. Turn on your phone. Wait for it to say, "Enter Subsidiary Code."

5. Type #pw+unlock code+1# in your phone's keypad, where unlock code is the number you retrieved from your mobile carrier. Wait for a prompt that says, "SIM Restriction Off."
