Make A Blackberry Storm Work With At&T

The BlackBerry Storm 9500 has compatibility with the AT&T Wireless network. However, most cellular carriers sell the BlackBerry Storm with a carrier lock that will prevent you from using the phone on AT&T's network. By unlocking your BlackBerry Storm, you can use your phone with AT&T. Most cellular carriers will provide you with the unlock code and the MEP code necessary to unlock your BlackBerry Storm device without a charge.

Instructions

1. Call your current cellular service provider and ask for the unlock code and MEP code for your BlackBerry Storm phone. You can also purchase the unlock code and MEP code from a third-party unlock code reseller.

2. Remove the SIM card from your BlackBerry Storm. You will find the SIM card located under your phone's battery. Insert the AT&T SIM card.

3. Power on your BlackBerry Storm phone.

4. Select "Options" from the home screen and tap "Advanced Options."

5. Select the "SIM card" option.

6. Press "Menu" and select the "Show Keyboard" option.

7. Enter "mepd" using your phone's keypad.

8. Enter "mep2" using your phone's keypad.

9. Enter your phone's MEP code.

10. Enter your phone's unlock code. Your BlackBerry Storm is now unlocked and will work with the inserted AT&T SIM card.
