Pair A Bluetooth Headset With A Samsung Intensity

Pair a Bluetooth Headset With a Samsung Intensity

The Samsung Intensity is designed to work on CDMA networks. It features a full slide-out keyboard and outside dial pad. You can also use your Intensity's Bluetooth function to connect to a wireless headset. Using a Bluetooth headset with your Intensity gives you hands-free use of the phone's call functions. Before you can use the headset and phone together, you'll need to pair them. Pairing is a quick, one-time setup process that allows your devices to communicate over the air.

Instructions

1. Charge your headset completely; this usually takes about two hours. Disconnect the headset from the charger.

2. Place the headset in pairing mode. This process varies based on the model you are using, but many headsets can be put into pairing mode by pressing and holding the "Power" or "Call" button for five to 10 seconds. See your user guide if you have difficulty.

3. Press the "Menu" button on your Intensity. Scroll to and select "Tools."

4. Choose "Bluetooth." Select "Registered List," then "Add New Device." Select "Yes" if asked to turn on Bluetooth.

5. Press the center button to begin searching for your headset. Ensure the headset and phone are near one another during this step. Bluetooth devices can communicate over a maximum distance of about 33 feet.

6. Highlight the name of the headset from the list of found devices. Press "Pair."

7. Use the Intensity's keypad to enter the headset's pairing passkey if prompted. Most headsets use "0000" or "1234"; see your user guide if you have difficulty. Press the center button to complete pairing.
