The Jawbone 2 keeps you from holding a cell phone in your hand.
Syncing a Jawbone 2 Bluetooth headset to a phone lets you make hands-free calls when you are driving or otherwise unable to hold your cell phone. A Bluetooth headset is an important safety consideration for drivers, and also is important for use in areas where driving while holding a cell phone is illegal. Once paired to a phone, the Jawbone 2 and cell phone automatically pair with each other provided they are both powered on.
Instructions
1. Turn on the Jawbone 2 headset. If the headset is being powered on for the first time, it automatically enters pairing mode.
2. Open the "Settings" menu on your cell phone and select the "Bluetooth" option. Verify that it is turned on.
3. Press and hold the "Talk" and "NoiseAssassin" buttons on the side of the headset simultaneously to manually enter pairing mode. The headset must be turned off. Once pairing mode is entered, verify that the indicator light on the headset flashes red and white. The headset stays in pairing mode for three minutes or until the headset is successfully paired, whichever comes first. This is necessary if you are not turning on your Jawbone 2 for the first time.
4. Select "Search for New Devices" on your cell phone and choose the "Jawbone" option when the phone finds the headset.
5. Enter "0000" as the pairing password. There is no need to change the password, as it is used only once, when you are first pairing the phone.
6. Press "OK" on your phone to complete the pairing process. Make a phone call using your cell phone to verify the Jawbone 2 is properly paired to the phone.
