Reset A Nokia 5300 Cell Phone

If your Nokia 5300 is freezing or not working correctly, a soft reset might fix the problem. All you have to do is go to the factory reset settings menu and select "Restore Settings Only." A soft reset will not delete any of your preference or saved information. If a soft reset does not solve your problems, or if you want to delete all of your saved information from the phone, select "Restore All" to perform a hard reset. A hard reset deletes all of your saved settings and information and reverts the phone to the original factory settings.

Instructions

1. Turn the Nokia 5300 cell phone on.

2. Press the "Left Selection Key," or the "-," to enter the main menu.

3. Scroll through the menu options using the "Up" and "Down" keys. Highlight "Settings" and press "OK."

4. Highlight and select "Restore Factory Settings." From the submenu, select either "Restore Settings Only" or "Restore All." Press "OK" when your selection is highlighted.
