Sprint offers a wide variety of phones, many of which allow for users to place their very own ringtones on the device. For the vast majority of these, the process is done in much the same manner. By following these instructions, you will be able to quickly and easily place your very own cell phone ringtones on your Sprint phone.
Instructions
1. Connect your Sprint phone to your PC using a USB cable. Many cell phones come packaged with USB cables designed specifically for the phone.
2. Open your operating system's "My Computer" window (or Apple equivalent). Allow several seconds for the cell phone to appear as a storage device.
3. Click the cell phone from the list of storage devices. This will open a new window with several folders, including "Music" (or "Media"). Move the window so that you can access other windows, specifically your ringtone files.
4. Select the ringtone files you wish to move to your cell phone. Once selected, drag and drop (click and move the files while holding the mouse button down) the files into the "Music" or "Media" folders on your phone. This will copy the files to the phone while keeping them on your computer.
5. Close the phone window and disconnect the phone to complete the file transfer.
