Use Bluetooth On A Mobile Phone

Using Bluetooth devices with your phone offers a degree of convenience.

Bluetooth technology has expanded the realm of cell phone use. Bluetooth peripherals such as headsets, keyboards and GPS devices, to name a few, enable users to interact with their phones in many ways. Using a Bluetooth keyboard for data entry on a smartphone can give you the ability to use word processing applications, as you are not limited to significantly smaller numerical pad on your phone. Headsets are one of the most commonly used Bluetooth peripherals and can often be used in conjunction with GPS devices. Pair Bluetooth devices to your phone by following a few steps.

Instructions

1. Charge your Bluetooth peripheral or insert batteries as needed. Often Bluetooth devices must be charged prior to pairing.

2. Enable Bluetooth on your phone. This option will typically be found in a "Settings" or "Bluetooth" menu. You can also refer to your cell phone or device's manual for exact navigation.

3. Turn on Bluetooth visibility on your phone, which is typically found underneath the "Enable Bluetooth" setting under the "Bluetooth" menu. Turn on visibility on your Bluetooth peripheral by following the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Select "Search" for devices from your Bluetooth menu on your phone. After the search is complete, select the Bluetooth device you wish to pair with your phone.

5. Enter your Bluetooth Pairing PIN, when prompted. This is typically 0000 by default, unless you changed it. At this point your device is ready to be used.
