Convert BlackBerry Voicenotes to MP3 files on a PC


Recording voicenotes on your BlackBerry is a great tool for recording meetings, interviews or just your weekly grocery list. However, if you need to share your voicenotes online, the .AMR file format can be a bit of an obstacle. Luckily, there is a quick and easy way to convert your voicenotes to MP3 format for easy online sharing.


Instructions


1. Connect your MicroSD card to your computer via internal jack or USB cable. Voicenotes are automatically stored on your MicroSD card, so you won't have to worry about transferring the files from your hard drive.


2. Locate the memory card on your computer by going to "My Computer" and selecting the memory card from the list under "Removable storage." Then transfer the file to your desktop and give it an appropriate name.


3. Open your internet browser and go to the Format Factory website (see resources). Format Factory is a free program that converts mobile media into PC-ready media. Download and install the software


4. Open Format Factory and go to the left taskbar. Click on the audio tab and then click on the "All to MP3" icon. A window will pop-up.


5. Click on the "Add File" button and locate the file you have saved on your desktop. If you have more than one, you can add more. Once you are done, click on "OK" The file will now be saved as an MP3 on your desktop.
