The Nokia E71 is a smartphone that uses Global System for Mobile Communications technology, and Celcom 3G is a GSM cellular service provider in Malaysia. After unlocking your E71 smartphone, you can connect to Celcom 3G's cellular network by inserting a Celcom 3G subscriber identity module into the phone.
Instructions
1. Call your current cellular service provider and request the unlock code for your Nokia E71. You can also purchase the unlock code from several third-party unlock companies.
2. Slide the back cover off of the phone and remove the phone's battery. Remove the SIM card from the SIM compartment. Replace the battery and back cover and power on the phone.
3. Enter "#pw+Code+7#" using the phone's keypad. Replace "Code" with the unlock code for your phone.
4. Remove the back cover and battery from the phone. Insert a Celcom 3G SIM card in the SIM compartment. Replace the battery and back cover and power on your Nokia E71. Once your Celcom 3G logo displays in the upper right corner of the phone's display, you have successfully connected your phone to the Celcom 3G network.
