Download Ringtones Onto The Palm Pre

The HP/Palm Pre is a full-featured smartphone. Thousands of apps are available on from the included "App Catalog," but many convenient apps are already installed by default on Pre phones. For example, the Amazon.com MP3 Store app can download songs as MP3s to your HP/Palm Pre. You can play these files back in the Music app or even set them as ringtones for incoming calls. All you need to do is access the "Sounds and Ringtones" settings after purchasing an MP3 download on your phone.

Instructions

Download a Song

1. Tap the "Launcher" button in the corner of the Pre home screen. Find the "Amazon MP3" app icon and tap it on the touch screen.

2. Tap the "Search" text box and slide out the physical keyboard on your Pre. Type in the song you want to download to use as a ringtone and press "Enter."

3. Tap the gray price button to the right of the song title. The button turns green and reads "Buy." Tap the "Buy" button and press the "Accept" button.
