Type on a Nokia 6555
With the way that cell phones have evolved, the ability to easily send and receive e-mail, text messages and multimedia messages is nearly as important as the phone's ability to make and receive calls. As these features have increased in importance and popularity, many phones have started including full keyboards to make the process faster. While the Nokia 6555 lacks the full keyboard some of its counterparts have, it still has full e-mail, text messaging and multimedia messaging capabilities. It just takes a few extra keystrokes.

1. Press the Center Select Key -- the black key located in the center of the silver navigation keypad. Pressing this button takes you to the main menu.
2. Use the "Navigation Key" to scroll up to the "Messaging" menu and press the center select key. From this menu you select from the options, to write a new text message, e-mail or multimedia message, by again using the navigation and center select key.
3. When composing your message, you can choose to use traditional text or predictive text. You will automatically be in traditional text. To use predictive text press the # key twice. The # key is located in the bottom right hand corner of the number pad.
4. When using traditional text, each number represents a set of letters. Press the number key that represents the letter you want multiple times to get to that letter. Example: To type the letter C, press the 2 key three times.
5. When using predictive text, there is no need to press the number keys multiple times as the phone's built-in dictionary is programmed to detect words typed with a single keystroke. Example: To type the word dog, type 364.
