To unlock the cell phone, users need a lock code to hack into the SIM card, permitting the user to sign up with a different service provider or use the SIM card with a different phone. Unlocking a phone is usually done when a user purchases a new phone. It is relatively easy to unlock your SIM card to fit your Nokia N70 cell phone.
Instructions
1. Contact your phone provider for the unlock code. Some won't provide it, but others such as T-Mobile and AT&T will provide you with the unlock code for your Nokia N70 if have a good reason, such as moving away or traveling to another country. Another option is to browse online for software or websites that provide the unlock code for the Nokia N70. Make sure you get the unlock code for the right model.
2. Type "#PW+" on your Nokia N70 and enter the unlock code you were provided with. Entering the wrong code three times may permanently lock your phone.
3. Type "+1#" and wait for a notification that indicates that your SIM restriction is off or has been removed.
4. Remove the SIM card from the phone by sliding off the back cover and remove the SIM card from your old phone. Remove the cover off the back of the new phone and insert the SIM card.
5. Press the "Power" button to turn on your new phone.
