Unlock a Verizon cellular phone so you can make calls again.
Verizon puts the lock feature on their phones to cut down on theft and hinder those who want to use your phone without your permission--though you do have the ability to take calls on your device or place 911 calls in the event of an emergency with a locked phone. It can be frustrating to lock your Verizon phone by mistake or not recall take the phone lock off. However, when you understand unlock the device, you regain the privilege to take and place calls.
Instructions
1. Remove the lock from your device. Press the "OK" key on your phone to cause the features of your cellular device to appear. This shows the applications and items that your phone contains.
2. Press down on the arrow button until you get to the "Settings and Tools" section of your cell phone. Hit the "Enter" key to proceed. When the next menu appears, look for the part of the tiny screen that allows you to set your phone and select that option.
3. Press the "OK" key. View the next menu that appears after you press this feature. Locate the security tab. This tab shows up in either the fourth or fifth position depending on the Verizon model you own. Type iour security code on your phone. Unless you change these digits, the code remains the last four numbers of your Verizon phone number.
4. Go to the portion of your device where you can change the security numbers and remove the lock on your device. Scroll down to "Phone Lock Settings." Hit "OK" on your phone if you want to edit your security data.
5. Go to the place on your device that states the term "Unlock." This term usually appears on the first line. Press "OK" to remove the lock from your Verizon cellular phone.
