Reset A Nokia N95

There are two kinds of resets for your Nokia N95. The first is a "soft reset," which restores the settings for your phone as it came out of the box, before you made any changes. This is useful when you don't like the modifications you've made and you want to start over. The second is a "hard reset," which wipes all of the phone's data and restores the entire phone to its original condition. This is useful when you are ready to sell or give away your phone, so your data remains secure.

Instructions

1. Power on your Nokia N95.

2. Soft reset your phone by choosing the "Settings" menu, followed by "Factory Settings." You will be prompted for the lock code for your N95. After it is entered, the phone will reset and reboot. It is normal for the phone to take longer to reboot after this reset.

3. Hard reset your phone by entering this sequence on the phone keypad, without the period: *#7780#. Press the Call button to enter the code and hard reset your phone.
