Reset An Ademco Alarm Code

Honeywell Ademco alarm systems are security alarms for residential buildings. When the alarm system is installed, the homeowner is given a system master code that enables users to access the different options available on the alarm system. You can change the system master code if you are uncomfortable knowing that the installer knows the code, or if you want someone who knows the code to not have access to the features in the alarm system. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Enter the system master code using the numbers on the keypad. The system master code is the code you were given when the alarm system was installed.

2. Press the "8" button and then "0" and "2." The "8" is the code button and is used to set different settings for the alarm system. The "0" and "2" is the code used to reset the system master code.

3. Enter the new system master code twice using the keypad. The system master code must be four numbers long.
