Unlock My Nokia 6255i Security Code

Unlocking your Nokia

The Nokia 6255i is a cellular flip phone that comes equipped with such modern features as Bluetooth and an MP3 player. These additions make the 6255 a valuable piece of equipment and therefore should be protected. That's why security measures are in place to prevent a third-party from using the phone. One such security feature is the ability to lock the phone with a security code. So if your phone is locked, you'll find that it's relatively easy to unlock it--as long as you have the code.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Nokia 6255i and a text box will appear on screen informing you that your phone is locked and prompting you to enter the unlock code. You will not be able to use your phone's features while the phone is locked. The default code is "0000." That is the code to use unless you have accessed the Security Settings folder in your phone and personally changed it.

2. Enter the four-digit unlock security code on the phone's keypad. If it is the correct code, your phone will unlock and be available for use.

3. Make a call or access a feature on your phone to verify that it is indeed unlocked. Disable the phone lock completely by accessing the "Security Settings" folder from your Nokia's main menu and selecting "Deactivate Phone Lock" in your 6355i.
