The Nokia 5200 is a phone that has the capability to play MP3 files. It has an external card slot you can use to store up to 2 GB in files. If you have music on your computer that you wish to listen to on your Nokia 5200, you'll need to first convert the music into the right format for the Nokia before transferring. The program Windows Media Player is capable of performing both of these functions.
Instructions
1. Connect your Nokia 5200 phone to your computer's USB port with the USB cord for the phone.
2. Select the "Windows Media Player" option that appears in a dialog window on your computer. Click "OK." You can also select the program from the "Start" menu on the desktop.
3. Click and drag the media files you wish to convert from the folders on your computer to the "Sync List" box under the "Sync" tab in the Windows Media Player program.
4. Click "Start Sync." The program converts the files to the right format and transfers them to your Nokia phone.
