Use Cradlepoint With Alltel

A CradlePoint router is a device that turns your Alltel 3G USB modem into a wireless network. You can securely connect up to 16 devices at one time. Computer users can also utilize the CradlePoint router with a cable/DSL connection as a standard wireless router. The router supports secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections. The installation process is simple and only involves plugging in the modem and configuring your computer settings.

Instructions

1. Insert the CradlePoint power supply into an electric wall socket.

2. Plug the Alltel 3G modem into the 3G/4G modem port on the CradlePoint router.

3. Move the power switch on the CradlePoint router to the "On" position.

4. Open your Web browser and navigate to 192.168.0.1, which directs you to the First Time Setup Wizard, if this is your first time using the CradlePoint router. Choose your time zone and select your preferred Wi-Fi security level. Pick a wireless security password and type it into the indicated box. Click "Apply."

5. Click on the Airport icon if you are using OSX. Select your CradlePoint router and input your default password. If you are using Windows, select your network connection icon, click on your CradlePoint router, type in your default password and select "Connect."
