Unock A Cell Phone Keypad

A cell phone with an unlocked keypad has a funny way of causing a lot of grief. First the phantom phone calls start. Then the random numbers and symbols are punched into your keypad from bumping objects in your purse. Or perhaps you suddenly realize you are accessing the Internet on your phone without knowing how. All of this can lead up to a cell phone bill full of charges you could have easily avoided if you just locked your cell phone keypad. There, now your cell phone keypad is locked. But wait--how do you unlock the keypad? The answer is easier than you think.

Instructions

1. Locate the mechanism for locking your cell phone keypad. Usually, a keypad will display a little key on or over a certain button to indicate this button as the one to press when you want to lock the cell phone keypad.

2. Press and hold the button with the key to lock the keypad. Usually, the cell phone screen will display a quick indicator of unlock the keypad, such as directing you to press the "OK," "Talk," "Green" or pound sign (#) keys to unlock. This message will likely come up again if the keypad is locked and you begin to dial a number or press the keys for some other purpose.

3. Search the user manual for your cell phone if the phone does not immediately present the method for unlocking the phone. The manual will also be able to help you access additional keypad locking and locking features that enhance security with the use of a password.

4. While the cell phone keypad is unlocked, access your cell phone's menu, look up "Tools," and search for a security option. This option will usually enable you to enter a lock code for your phone so it is not easily accessed by others. Enter the desired lock code in this section of your cell phone's menu.
