Unlock A Voicemail

Voicemail is an electronic centralized storage of telephone messages that is offered as an optional calling feature by most telephone service providers. A security feature of most voicemail systems requires you to unlock your voicemail box to access messages stored in your voicemail system.

Instructions

1. Dial your phone number from any telephone. Alternatively, many voicemail systems allow you to access your voicemail by entering a special code from the telephone associated with the voicemail system.

2. Press the "#" key or "*" key once you hear your voicemail greeting message. Check with your voicemail provider to determine which key you need to press to access the main menu of the voicemail system.

3. Enter your passcode to unlock your voicemail box and access your voicemail messages. If you have set a personalized passcode, this is the code you will need to enter. To access your voicemail box for the first time, you need to enter your pre-assigned voicemail passcode. Consult your voicemail service provider if you do not know the pre-assigned voicemail passcode. Your voicemail box is now unlocked and ready to use.
