N95 Music Tips

The Nokia N95 is a smart phone designed to browse the web, stream videos, make voice activated phone calls, download, store and play music, and much more. There are many tips and tricks to customize your Nokia N95 cell phone. These music tips for your Nokia N95 include get the most out of your Music Player, playlists, and battery life.


Music Player


Open the music player by sliding the top of the phone to the downward position to disclose the media keys that control the audio function.


Playlist Shortcut


Go to your playlist without scrolling through the main menu by pressing and hold the "Multimedia" button in the lower left hand corner of your N95.


Sorting Music


Select "Options" to sort your music files. You can list music files in the current folder by name, file name, date, or size. Sorting will affect the order in which the files are played.


Offline


You can use the Music Player in instances where cell phones are prohibited. Go to Profiles and choose "Offline." You can also hold the Power button, and select the "Offline" profile from the list presented.


Battery


Prolong your N95's battery life so you can play more music by letting the battery completely discharge before charging it for the first time. Turn off your bluetooth, WiFi, and 3G scanning. Disable 3G scanning by going to "Menu", "Tools", "Settings", "Phone", and "Network", then change the network settings to "GSM". Dim the screen by going to "Menu", "Tools", "Settings", "General" "Personalization", and "Display" to change the light sensor to "Minimum".
