Unlock A Nokia 6120 Using A Usb Cable

Unlock a Nokia 6120 Using a USB Cable

The Nokia 6120 is a smart phone that uses the Symbian operating system. If you purchased one through a mobile service provider, then it probably came locked. This means that you will not be able to use it while traveling abroad without incurring roaming charges. Several methods exist to unlock your phone, such as using a single-use unlock code, using a hardware device to hack your phone and using a USB cable with a software program. While locking your phone is not illegal, you must stay with your current service provider until your contract is up, otherwise they will charge you a cancellation fee.

Instructions

1. Turn your computer on and open up the Internet browser.

2. Download and Run the Nokia Tool by Rollis 1.8 (see Resource links). This program runs on your desktop so you do not need to install it. Just click on the file and it will start.

3. Plug your data cable into the bottom of your phone and the other end into the USB port of our computer. Turn your Nokia 6120 on. Wait for the Windows operating system to recognize the phone and then click on the Rollis 1.8 software. Click on the red button that looks like an insect at the top of the toolbar. Wait until you get a "Found Phone" message to appear on the screen.

4. Press the "Read Phone Info" button at the top left of the tool bar. This tells you whether your phone is locked or unlocked. If any of the four locks that appear is closed, then your phone is locked.

5. Click the "Clear SP Locks" button at the top of the software screen. This will unlock the phone. Confirm this by clicking on the "Read Phone Info" button again. Unhook your phone from the USB cable.
